The Reform UK leader Claims Teachers of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike shortly after a success at the polls for his party, accusing them of “harming young minds” by telling students that African-Caribbean youth are oppressed and white children oppressors.

During an event for a Michigan-based religious institution, Farage outlined his viewpoint on the UK education system, stating that the “Marxist left” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I’m anticipating a teachers’ strike very quickly after winning the next general election,” Farage commented in response to questions.

“They are poisoning our kids. They instruct children to be ashamed of their country. They inform little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is a victim and a white child of the same age that he is a perpetrator. They are dividing us, instead of fostering unity. They are feeding this negative culture.”

Reacting to these assertions, Daniel Kebede rejected the notion that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “absurd”. He pointed out that industrial action must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his public life on coded rhetoric and currently, similar to other figures, he is targeting educators and their organizations for a conflict,” the union leader said.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. Neither I nor our union – push critical race theory as he’s suggesting … If he were to lead the government he would undermine state services, particularly schooling … and the outcome would be catastrophic for education and children.”

Reform, which tops surveys by about 10 points, has not set out much detail on its educational plans and seems not to have designated an education lead.

However, his comments indicated the party would overhaul the educational framework. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with education – truly monumental. Moreover, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it requires years, a long-term effort to reform.”

He stated that younger generations are receptive to analytical thought, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Paying tribute to Charlie Kirk, Farage said: “All I want education to do to foster independent thought – to instruct people that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves rather than current practices where one is virtuous and one is evil. This is a huge undertaking in the UK and US.”

The party has conflicted with the UK’s largest teaching union, after Kebede called the party “far right and racist” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

The politician has charged Kebede of being “an avowed radical” … an individual intent that young minds be corrupted at school, their minds should be poisoned about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the union is trying to indoctrinate youth opposed to his party.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The leading teachers’ organization has hundreds of thousands of members.

National strikes over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years led to significant interruptions in educational institutions and millions of days of lost learning for children.

During the American gathering, Farage also pledged to help spread the online educational material of the Christian college in the UK. He stated organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, noting: “I mean this. I will help garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of youth to these educational programs. I pledge this tonight and I will follow through.”

The college, a small private Christian college, provides complimentary classes. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is vital for well-being and to maintain the benefits of freedom. The college furnishes these excellent programs for free to every interested learner.”
