I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
